Par le biais d'Internet, elles créent le premier Pays virtuel : 8 Th Wonderland.

Puisqu'un individu n'a guère de chance de se faire entendre , un Pays, en revanche, aura beaucoup plus de possibilités d'intervention au niveau International : Chaque semaine, tous les habitants de 8Th Wonderland, votent par référendum une motion différente Si elle est virtuellement adoptée, ils se chargent de la faire réellement appliquer Mais que se passerait-il si les motions de 8Th Wonderland devenaient petit à petit plus réactionnaires ? Si sa manière d'agir se rapprochait lentement mais sûrement d'un comportement terroriste ?...

Un problème insoluble se poserait alors à l'ensemble des Nations : Comment capturer des millions de personnes disséminées de par le monde ?
Comment combattre un Pays qui n'existe pas ?

Seems to have a similar premise to Summer Wars, except that 8th Wonderland seems to be a covert society/rebel organization that causes chaos instead of an AI causing unrest and anarchy within a virtual realm.

Watched the film in the theater this week. Unfortunately not a good film. Acting on the level of an amateur soap opera, abysmally naive dialogue and a holey plot on a level a 13 year old idealist would write. Central part, a chat room where nobody ever gets emotional (or that's how the acting plays out), nobody ever swears or even interrupts anyone else. Incompetent secret service doesn't detect data traffic from within their own hq, take months to find a physical server location. Don't watch.
