This is from a British TV show "Ready steady go" There were not many black teenagers around back then !!! Soul music took hold during the mid 60's hence the Northern soul scene still going strong over here. Absolutely no race issue on the scene ever. We all get down together !

The great Black athletes and musicians did much to back up Dr. King's appeals for civil rights. They showed the idiotic stereotypes were just plain false, and that Blacks were the equals of Whites in every way, even with their paths blocked by Jim Crow and prejudice. How could the young people watching Martha Ray and the Vandellas on stage, come away thinking Blacks were inferior second-class people?
Dr. King said it, the performers showed it. They were ambassadors to the White world.

Hands down best rock 'n roll song ever, IMO. If listening to this song doesn't make you want to get up and dance there's not much hope for you.

Lets be honest, there is WAY more racist comments by white people on YouTube than black people. A LOT of white people can't go through a day without saying nigger atleast once on a YouTube video. So maybe black people are just fed up now and are randomly leaving racist comments on videos the way white people have been doing since YouTube was created in 2005.
