Just out of curiosity, what were you doing with the Shy Guys that the first Caged Ghost was spitting out and for what reason?

Just killing time until I have 6 eggs with an eggable enemy in Yoshi's mouth.

If you want the nerdier explanation of why I'm spitting the enemies upward: When you spit enemies upward, they do the "tumble/rolling" animation, during this they can collide and won't destroy each other upon contact, which they would normally do if I spit them forward or backward. So I parody that fact by spitting them upward at each other.

Either that or they knew of the boss skip, but couldn't fix it so they gave Kamek dialogue for it and called it an easter egg. XD

No, it's the only easter egg in Yoshi's Island (given with the pre-written dialogue for the witch to say once you do it): Hit the normal-sized piranha plant before triggering the "locked door" animation and you'll trigger the boss-skip.
