  • @TAGMATAGMATON I think you display a lack of historical knowledge of WW2. When the Soviets attacked Finland in 1939/1940 Nobody came to their aid. The Finns were still very vulnerable when WW2 broke out and the only thing they could do to protect themselves and regain their lost territory was to cooperate with the Germans. They were not allies or collaborators, they were co-belligerents with the same goal of fighting the Soviets. The Finns were never Nazis period.

  • It was probably mentioned earlier, but the air-cooled Buffalo overheated in the tropics, where the Allies used. it. In Finland that was not a problem.

  • @TAGMATAGMATON if you mean the swastika, it was ours first. nazis copied it. allso, we where not collaborating with nazis, we where collaborating with germans. we where against nazi party. but not against german people.

  • Suomi brothers! You fought the same way as we, Greeks, did! We both kicked a powerfull enemy out of our lands!

  • @bh5496 Obviously not your bud. I study. I don't waste my time and others making useless remarks like you. If you have something to contribute to the discussion, contribute, you don't have to agree, but try to put some effort in it. By the way, the F2A3's gross weight was significantly greater than the F2A2's with the same power and the performance was significantly different. With the F2A2 the Brewster's performance had peaked with the Cyclone engine.

  • @hoodoo2001 whose ass did you pull that information out of bud?

  • The Brewster F2A was not maligned by the US military. The US Navy would have been happy with the F2A1's but most were diverted to the Finns. The F2A2 was also considered a very good aircraft and in performance was equal to the zero but it would have fought, like the zero without armor protection and that was unacceptable to the US Navy although the Finns were quite happy with this zero-like aircraft and the F2A-1's did superbly. The B-339's and the F2A-3 where another story.

  • I hate censorship ... ur the CROSS be free to fly in the sky

  • @Zuomigundi I see... Perhaps the Finns would have better luck with the rest of the allies...Thanks for the info anyway

  • @LIGHTNICK625 Again, there would've been no chance for finns to join allies.. Since ruskies, our only enemy (ahem, "make a deal with the enemy") from 1200's to modern day, was one of the allies. It attacked to Finland and stole Karelia. It was planning to attack again to get whole country (as Stalin himself stated in his diary). Stalin would've prevented finnish efforts to join and then took another reason to attack Finland from his hat (like Mainila shots). Then we would've been screwed...
