Craig Rayvals Scary Crash @ Lee USA - 8-14-2009

A stuck throttle is apparently to blame for this scary crash by Craig Rayvals of Brockville, Ontario less than 1 lap into heat race #2 for the annual ISMA Ollie Silva Summer Classic at Lee USA Speedway. The capacity Lee USA crowd held its collective breath until word was given by paramedics that Craig was OK. Its believed that he did suffer leg, shoulder and rib injuries from the crash.

you sure that was in a super i thougth that was in an allison legacy car i remember that night took over 45 mins to cut him out.

A couple years back I was working at Star Speedway in Epping. And I had a very similar accident happen.I was working at the exit of the pits in turn 4 when a guy came out of 3 and his throttle was stuck (in a supermodified) and went head first into the wall in turn 4. We ended up having to cut him out of the car as he was knocked out (which was a good thing), because we later found out that his harness was so tight and with the force of the impact he managed to pop a testicle out of his scrutom
