Olinda field oil well (Ernie 43)

This oil well is operated by Linn western operating (like most in the Olinda field). It is made by "Pacific" according to some castings on it, but when I looked up "pacific" I could find nothing on the company. This well is almost always running. Produces around 5 barrels of oil per day.

To document the disappearing oil wells of Orange county, Calif. Particularity in the Puente Hills. Oil land is valuable to developers and I realize this.

If you want to see it go up Tamarack st in Brea until you hit the intersection of evergreen Dr. Look to your right and up on a hill you will see it up on a hill in the oil fields.

well, even such a little source is profitable nowadays. 5 barrels/day * 365 days/year * 60 $/barrel equals $109,500, which should be more than it costs to keep the source running.
