  • I misas the place. Kooky Kastle was also my favorite ride. I hope those condos they put up get terminal termites...

  • Being from Dorchester, Ma orriginally, I had spent many a weekend at Paragon Park/Nantasket Beach growing up. It was a wonderful part of my youth because it had a personality all of its own. Unlike the super parks of today (six Flags,Disney & Universal) I am 52 and now live in Omaha, Nebraska and do miss the east coast. Ihank you to the ones for this posting on You Tube and letting me remember my childhood if only for a moment

  • Oh, this brought back memories! I can still taste the fried clams from Joseph's! I must've ridden that roller coaster ten times in a row on many days and I still remember the 1968 Weymouth H.S. prom at Nantasket!

  • I spent a few weeks every summer in Hull, 70s and 80s. Joseph's pizza on the boardwalk is still the best flat cheese pizza I have ever eaten in my entire life. I have such found memories of Hull, Nantasket Beach, and of course Paragon Park.

We always ended a day at Paragon with a chocolate soft serve and chocolate jimmies.

  • Thanks for sharing....boy does that bring back memories!!! <3

  • To Mr. Aronofsky: I love these Paragon Park videos and the great memories they bring back. I have favorited your "Remembering Paragon Park" video to my YouTube channel, and sent it in a link to my younger sister as well. She told me it brought tears to her eyes, just as it did for me. Thanks again for posting these truly precious memories.

  • Every year I would visit my grandparents summer home in Hull. Of course, each year we went to the ultimate Paragon Park. Those were the days, I have not been back since I was 18. Now, I am in my 50's so sad things have to change. Heard the Park is gone, and there is not summer homes anymore. Those were fun times.

  • I still have an empty match book from Paragon.

  • I grew up in Weymouth in the 50s and 60s. What a time! Nantasket beach and Paragon Park were a huge part of my youth. Who remembers Arnie Ginsburg broadcasting live from the WMEX trailer in Paragon? Remember the mermaid on the Surf Ballroom marquis? Shortly after they opened they had to lengthen her hair to cover her breasts! I was about ten years old, I think. I wish I could go back, if only for a day...

  • Many fond memories of the park.Lived in Quincy, and went to the park from the 40's on. I remember the little stream going through ti in late 40's to the 50's. Roller coaster was bought by 6 Flags in Largo MD. Got to see it in the 80's when I was working in Wash.Dc. Hope it is still being enjoyed. Also, glad they saved the Merry Go Round.I can still see my Grandfather riding it with me. Such memories.

  • Awesome video,,, so many fond memories!! I loved the Rollercoaster!! I would ride it over and over!! • OMG! How I miss this park! I grew up in another town close by, but went often! Clamstrips and ice cream at Howard Johnsons, the Wild Mouse, COngo Cruise, Scrambler, Mattahorn, then in the 70s Uncle Sam;s (formerly the Surf)...memories, all of them great, I wish it was still there. Mid 60s thru late 70s..what a time! Thanks for posting this! xoxoxo
