The Church's Inquisition was set to torture and kill those who disbelieved in the Bible. Not only that, they also tortured and burned those alive who believe in the Bible but disagreed with the Church's interpretations.

Men, women and Children of 12 years and above were all subject to this torture and slow death if they did not give up their faith and accept the interpretations of the Church.

    so in other words you didn't bother to read what I wrote and are now trying to put words in my mouth. and I am sure you also didn't bother to view the video.

    btw, where did you read that the Catholic Church invented the Iron Maiden or the pear of anguish? and please only reply if you have a well documented source .

  • @wyss20 Where have you read about the romans using the iron maiden , or the pear of anguish.. That was purely invented by the catholic church..

    Also the torture methods used by the spanish inqustions were alot more brutal and much more "inventive" that simply the crucfixion in Roman times

  • @badpanda84

    @badpanda84

    first of all, most were not invented by the Catholic Church but had been around since roman times and prob. earlier.

    You also have to make sure, that whatever you relate to the Spanish Inquisition isn't something that you saw in German/Protestant torture chambers. After all, most of the witch trials were conducted in Central Europe and in Protestant areas.

    Look at this Video on youtube v=eMkjvCKTK3Q

  • @wyss20 "The Inquisition only tried confessed Catholics, never Protestants"

    Hmm there were no prostants back then..

    "In its so called heydays of the 15-16th Century only about 40 or 50 Catholics were put to death."

    right so the invented a entire collection of torture instrument and huge torture chambers ( Judus cradle , iron maiden, pear of anguish, breast ripper , etc) just to torture 40 or 50 people..

  • everybody that says this is not true are not digging for the truth. The evidence for this is thousands of documents and political consequences on history. To deny this is like deny the holocaust or the moon landing.

  • @wyss20 The bbc is owned and run by the vatican. Do your homework.

  • unfortunately its all baloney. The Inquisition only tried confessed Catholics, never Protestants, Jews or Muslims. Much of the scandal and misunderstanding against the Inquisition is rooted in grossly exaggerated numbers and ideas written by someone named Montenas. Many of these myths were recently brought to light by the non-catholic BBC in a documentary called The Myth of the Spanish Inquisition. In its so called heydays of the 15-16th Century only about 40 or 50 Catholics were put to death.

  • sorry but you are wrong ? the church killed those who read the bible, they burned those who read the bible ?

  • whats sad is that people still believe it. And look at all the wars that have been caused because of religion
