On June 5th 1997 Queensryche preformed a show that was broadcast worldwide on the radio but less than 200 people invited to watch at the VLA (Very Large Array - Radio Telescope) in the desert of New Mexico. I was lucky to be one of them. I have saved this video for more than 10 years. This was recorded on one of the very first digital video camera. This is just the first song from the show... lets see how well it goes before I put out another... Lets hear your voices... SCREAM IN DIGITAL!

It's hard to say - he looks like his mind is somewhere else. I think it's easy to get on autopilot after you've done the same thing for so long. Of course he could be be thinking...our audiences have been getting smaller and our shows more scaled down - is this how I want to go out? - Who knows, but I really liked this line up the best.

I have to agree with you here. This was the year Chris left. Nov'97. When u watch their older videos, Chris would look very passionate. Tapping his foot. Holding the guitar like his life depended on it (well, it did at the time :P). He'd sing his heart out. Looking at the crowd with intense eyes like he was communicating with them. Watch Livecrime. Here, he looks lethargic.

Is it just me or can you tell hat Chris is pretty much done with the band here? Look at him he has no emotion, he is just going through the motions.
