Diana McCaulay is a Jamaican writer, newspaper columnist and environmental activist. Her short stories have been published in the Caribbean, and her first novel Dog-Heart has won two national awards.
Dog-Heart is about an evolving relationship between a middle-class single mother and an inner city boy, as the woman attempts to help." The gulf between them exposes deep conflicts in Jamaican society and the action builds to a collision between two very different worlds.
