@TheTankerbanker Intresting answer, it took some thinking. I believe Mary was a disciple and she was certainly around. However, it is not mentioned in the Bible, not even the Gnostic scriptures but it does say the disciples were asleep. We know the books Mathew and Luke were inspired by Mark. Mark has Jesus in the Garden but little is mentioned of what he said. I believe the church added these passeges later. They also did this in later books in the NT, like Timothy & James, so why not?

According to the bible, Jesus said: "Father, let this cup pass from me!" No one heard it but Jesus and God. The disciples were asleep. Soon after, Jesus was arrested and wisked away by the Romans. So who wrote it? Anyone dare to give an intelligent answer?
