This is a video of me shooting 10 rounds through my new Remington 597 .22


You may have noticed that in the video the rifle doesn't appear to be ejecting all of the spent shells. The rifle ejects the shells so fast that the camera doesn't catch it.

wow, you get some true fucktards talking shit to you about your stance. I'm sure you figured out that its best to keep your weak hand farther back on the forward stock... nice 22 though. I've been thinking of getting one of these for a while now. Do you have any issues out of it? picky on ammo? magazine issues?

@MilitantPIG I never had any magazine issues or ammo issues. I shot mostly Remington ammunition through it. Sometimes I would cycle Federal ammo through. No problems. Just keep it clean, and it will perform. I did buy a 30-rnd banana clip for it. You can find them at Bass Pro. It worked well with the rifle. It's been a couple years since I've shot this rifle, as I am now in Afghanistan shooting bigger and better weapons. :)

This rifle makes some noise but it's not extremely loud. I can safely shoot it without hearing protection although that's probably not recommended. It's not loud enough to hurt my ears.

@VicariousReality7 the 597 is hands down a better design than the 10/22 its bolt is the biggest diffrence ive noticed less like a rimfire bolt more like a centerfire bolt .. in true Remington fashion you cant disassemble the bolt .

mine is exactly like that but I prefer remington ammo for it the others usually get caught up in it
