Where the hell did you get that info? American universities are very good (like Harvard etc) But schools suck some serious ass. Especially state schools or how they call them...

what's messed up is that the funding a school gets is based on where it is - so a richer neighborhood will put more money into theirs because of taxes

i'm not advocating a call 4 communism but i don't think America can call itself the "Land of Opportunity" w/out supplying a basic tenet 2 its citizens. more money should be flooded 2 schools in need regardless of race 2 assure that every American child at least has the chance 4 success. give em the tools & then let true competition commence. Though sometimes i wonder if inequity among American schools isn't intentional.

We should set a maximum on class size and pay innercity teachers more. They have a tougher job and should be paid more than other teachers.
