These pyramids are located in China, but up until a few decades ago, China has denied the existence of them. Chinese scientists claim that the pyramids are burial mounds, but since these pyramids have never been (officially) excavated, it is pure speculation that these pyramids are part of the tombs mentioned in written records. Most of what you read about these pyramids is based on speculation and anecdotal evidence, they could be much older than China reports them to be.

  • @HajeSortra: Except that China indicates there are documents to suggest they are burial mounds... so why all the speculation that isn't what they are? If anyone would know, wouldn't it be the Chinese? The fact that the pyramids in Egypt are ALSO burial mounds should lend support to China's claims. This is their culture, their history. It is part of a culture that is still alive, so why not believe the people within that culture?

  • @ravenrabbitt Except that the pyramids in Egypt, specifically at the Giza site, are NOT burial mounds - no bodies have ever been found inside them. There are absolutely NO documents that say these Chinese pyramids are burial mounds, the burden of proof lies with those who claim they are. These are facts, not speculation.

  • Ban China! Free Tibet!

  • @zombiehellmonkey I thought they weren't found because of how crazy the mummy trade used to be.

  • @ravenrabbitt

The pyramids in Egypt also were said to be tombs, and yet there were no sarcophagus discovered. No bodies? means they went to an EXTREME amount of effort lasting an years to do something they didn't need?

    doesn't line up to me.

  • These look to me more like indentations than raised structures. Perhaps these are really mining excavations. The ridged, stair-case pattern is often found at such excavations. It's very hard to believe these would have gone unnoticed for so long if they are ancient pyramids. And what the hell is Fallout 3?! OK, Wikipedia time... OK, some old game with crappy graphics. Clearly, very, very pre-MW3!

  • To all those assuming straight off the bat that the Chinese are hiding something...you don't just go 'evacuating' burial mounds if you believe they're burial mounds. How disrespectful.

  • @volizaable no it's not...

  • How do you deny the existence of 30+ pyramids. The Chinese must have invented lying...

  • Oh god, we're all nerd for recognizing the Fo3 theme
