@UberLeonid Well if that's the case Rusty doesn't show it in his music. He plays scales and arpeggios straight up and down most the time and a speed so fast that makes it annoying. Petrucci mixes his stuff up, thereby also making it more difficult. Rustys shit is only difficult because it's fast. And playing a lot of different styles isn't easy, not knowing the styles front to back the way Petrucci does. Theres just no comparison man.

Playing a lot of different styles is easy and I bet Rusty could play a lot of different styles too

He has studied music theory and with these skills and with the knowledge Rusty he has, hes able to play a lot more than he is doing

@UberLeonid Rusty is a shit guitarist who is full of himself. Petrucci can play almost every style and doesn't only try to play fast. Also Rusty may be able to play faster but he plays nothing interesting. When petrucci plays fast he makes it sexy and super clean. Do you know music theory? It seems your just basing whos better by who can play faster.
