My Mom and Dad sang with Smitty Gatlin in 1969 and sang this song with him many times. My Dad said one night Smitty held the ending of "It's different now" over 2 minutes, the audience showed their appreciation with a standing ovation just as long.
What an incredible singer! His headtone and breath control just blow me away. I don't know of a lead singer at present time that could touch him. This is from "Sounds of Nashville" album on the Warner Brothers label. The Oaks were knocking down doors even back then. Thanks for the Vid.

A singer's singer. This lineup with Gary McSpadden weren't together long but they were mighty tough. Great slide show professor. Thanx a bunch!
