I'm new to 2 stroke tuning and I'm not sure if the bike is running lean or rich. If you listen you can hear how the bike stumbles at 6-8K rpm.

  • it has to idle between 1300 and 1400 rpms

  • it sounds a bit lean but the chopping sound at mid way is true but high range to low sounds lean richen it a maybe a slight turn out.

  • sounds lean to me

  • I LOVED these little things! Never got one though. I was even going to get two so I could twist my girlfriends arm to ride with me. I don't know about 2 strokes but I had a 4 stroke (atc 350x) and after I got some gas with additives (detergent or something stupid) my fuel filter was getting clogged, not the one in the tank but the little one in line just after the ON/OFF/RES valve. I also found out different engines prefer a certain gasoline. At least in cars you can get a couple more mpg's.

  • I'm guessing its a little lean if that is what your concern is... but on two stroke engines like blowers, chainsaws, and the "Worlds Smallest Ratbike" (search it for a laugh) two strokes often make a choppy sound running in mid rpm range.
