Millions of songbirds are captured and traded both for the caged bird trade and for release in religious rituals across much of Asia. For more information on the trade in wild birds and what organizations are doing to stop this trade, see http://birdsareforwatching.org/

  • This is so disgusting and I don't know how anyone could sleep knowing they have done this to birds. Thanks for educating us on what is happening to birds.

  • Ohh Mann Thats Sadd WAy To Sad Buying A Bird From The store is Different Than Capturing One Wow i wanna Knock Out The Guy who Caught These Birds

  • You should be ashamed of yourself. Give up exploiting animals for a living. You will be defeated.

  • They're actually Timor sparrows. Similar to Javas.

  • these poor birds are java sparrows

  • While much of the focus is on parrots, it is not just that type of bird that is collected for the caged bird trade. So sad to see so many crammed into a small cage.
