Pip eating some grapes and a banana for lunch. She'd just appeared in the doorway as my husband sat down with the fruit. Kate was not impressed with offerings, grapes, yuk!! I shot this video in October 09.

  • ~ EXCELLENT VIDEO SERIES ~

***One of the BEST You Tube Series***

  • @StowAlex Thank you very much!

  • Wow, that story is precious. How did you end up "taking her in"? Did she willingly come in the house or did you like lure her..?

  • @lolalexandra She was wandering around the property on her own so I picked her up (she was pretty weak by that time) and brought her in. She only weighed about 5lbs.

  • @isobelspringett p.s. Pip is the most adorable and deerish name ever! :)

  • @lolalexandra Actually yes she does come when called, as long as she's in earshot.

It's pretty funny when we have visitors and she comes bounding out of the bush!

  • @hmj211 Pip was wandering our property alone for 3 days before we took her in and Kate adopted her. She was bottle fed but we've never caged her in any way. She lives in the woods with the wild deer and eats everything they eat. She only comes for treats now that she's 2 years old. We are on a large acreage and so far the hunters have stayed out. Fingers crossed.

  • What does the dog like to eat?

  • They found her and don't own her she just is there on their property....she comes around and they feed her and live her as well as their dog loves her....the videos are so great!

  • that deer will end up getting shot

  • I can't say how terribly bad this is in the conservation societys eyes, which is my current job. But obviously you've gone through the legal actions, and stuff which allows you i'm correct ? I am actually quite a fan and love to see people getting involved in nature when the time is needed. If you could give me more information about when you first got her I would love it ! sorry, it's just my curiosity (:

  • AMAZING. God bless you and your wonderful friends!

  • I recently read grapes are bad for dogs VERY TOXIC will shut down their kidney and wont be able to urinate...Check and see if they are ok for that sweet dear !! =) wonderful videos , I enjoy watching !

  • Hey Isobel...your videos and presentation of same are gorgeous! Yes, interesting to note about grapes and dogs, however just had to reach out to touch an Islander! Miss that country so much, and also love to connect with critter people. Sure hope all is well with Kate and Pip.

More to say, but not enough characters remaining (had to downsize). You and Martin are doing a wonderful job with the vids and music! Really looking forward to hearing from you.

    Smiles...
