The Dancing Circus - Rope Dance

I'm on the far left. This dance was originally designed to be done with ropes hanging from the ceiling... but we ended up having these big pieces of fabric instead. It was really difficult to dance with these, as they were big and bulky, and it was rather unsteady. The majority of the dance is done on pointe, so unsteadiness is due to not being able to brace ourselves well with the "rope". Anyway, it is what it is... please don't be harsh.

im only assuming its high schoolers bc of the floor they are on. basketball court? and probably hense the reason why it isnt "perfect".

@Aji70 It was a big variety of ages that participated. We were just on a gym floor because we had really low funding.

Yeah... in concept, it was going to be really cool... but the way everything was executed just didn't work as well as we had hoped. Ah, well. And yes, it's Cirque du Soleil music. :)

What is the name of the dance where the dancers hang and twirl around on the rope? They usually use two ropes. The ropes look similar to this.
