It's Tina Turner singing the theme for Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome!

It is called Pirate Radio, because in the 1960's rouge broadcasters would do their shows from ships of the coast of the Atlantic.
-
Is that an Icom? Perhaps a 718 or the clone receiver?
-
LOL perfect example of why SSB and music broadcasting doesn't mix well
-
6955 is also a very commonly used pirate frequency. Do you have any QSL cards?
-
Music & Sideband just don't mix! SSB is for voice, if you pirate on upper or lower SSB do a talk format. Still, any pirate catch is great!

@Justifiestheshadows I am talking in radio terms, not computer terms. In radio terms USB "Upper Side Band," and LSB "Lower Side Band." There is also DSB "Double Side Band" where it is just like AM but with a suppressed carrier. Now my answer to coondogtheman1234 why it sounds like it is played through a walkie talkie is due to the generally poor sound quality of single side band. But I see that my head was in a different tune back then... Damn mental illness!

I can see why they call it pirate radio.

May it be Spider Radio from Athens ????
Pirate radio it is unregistered radio. (don't have any licence for broadcasting)
6925 kHz it is not broadcasting band, USB mode it is not broadcasting mode,
also 6925 kHz it is one of most knowing pirate frequency.
So, I think very probable that is pirate.
