@lindsaykaye04 a few years? Wasn't the Death Penalty 25 years ago? That's a bit more than a few years.
Either way I think it's silly anyway as the 30 for 30 showed. EVERY School in Texas offered Dickerson money to play. Happened THEN and happens NOW. Why the hell can coaches and school's make MILLIONS! off these kids, but the actual players should get NOTHING? Give me a break.

@andyb1314 TCU is doing amazing this year... but nobody would have thought they'd be so good. SMU will make a comeback; we're already on our way. The death penalty killed us for a while, but give us a few years and we'll be real competition again. I'm bred to hate TCU, but congratulations on your success this year. Still, I can't wait until we beat you again.

Do you even know what the death penalty was? Do you realize what it did to SMU? SMU definitely does have the popularity Hawaii has, just we need a turn around to bring more fans in. June Jones will definitely be that one.

Wow the name makes us sucks???? Let the statistics and record speak for itself. SMU has no future i can almost guarantee June Jones will leave after his contract is up in like 2012 or 2013 i believe.

yeah he attended school in the dallas area. walker is from the old school SMU squad .Thats that june jones stated that but he also stated that Colt Brennan would be drafted in the first round but Brennan went in the 6th to the Redskins. June Jones is a great coach but we had great talent at Hawaii to run the system. SMU doesnt have the popularity that Hawaii has because we play in a better conference with teams like Boise State and Fresno State.

Yeah, we do suck now. Ever since our death penalty in the late 1980's has caused our athletics to suck. But starting with this 2009 season, in which we received the best commits in a quarter century, our football program will start on it's path to redemption with a birth of many great seasons.
Hawaii history? The only thing you're known for being are the "Rainbow Warriors" of Hawaii. Pathetic.
