i think part of the problem is that there are too many similar churches in one area competing for the same crowd. another problem is that people tend to follow people form one church to the next. how many people that now go to passion city church used to be members of north point i wonder? just saying.
i miss 7|22 so much! instead of closing i wish they had just moved to an area where people are truly not being reached. i dont knwo why all the big churches want to stay in this certain area in north atlanta. how abotu someone coming SOUTH of atlanta. people there need churches too!
I wouldn't be the person I am right now without 7|22. I praise God for the many years of growth in my life thru this ministry, am sad that it's doors are shut, but know that God always has something more amazing in store for His kingdom.
I wonder if there is any corelation and how this new move from 722 is going to interface with the new church that Giglio/Tomlin/Redman are going to plant in Atlanta!!?
fine balance. I am trying hard to not think that 7|22 gave up. I truly think why 7|22 unique was that it provided a God influenced experience outside the parameters of "church on a Sunday morning" in a contemporary and more relevant format. Honestly I think it goes beyond the quote. Perhaps financial but in the end it also had to be concluded that continuing as it was was equal to, or less than, doing nothing at all to pursue the largest singles market in America. I just loved 722 so much
It seems that since Louie left, this ministry, which was once so powerful in my eyes/heart, has gone downhill for unspecified reasons. I trust the true motives and heart of the staff but if we take a look at that quote, wouldn't that be comparing churches to churches too?? Are they not all, at the core, doing the same thing in a sense? Worst case scenario is to offer a product/experience that is so far from God that it dilutes it or is intimidates people for its difference. I understand its a
Thank you to everyone involved with 722. From Bill Willits and Louis Giglio, to Krista, Jeff, Billy Phenix, Jarrett Stevens, Joel Thomas and all the rest! Thanks to green greeters and blue production and the other teams that were there also. Thanks for all the fun volunteer parties and that most recent hike into the mountains in springtime. You are all a class act and many lives were changed in the process! I hope something comes up that will continue this typeof ministry!
As someone who's been attending 722 since 1998 and volunteering for the past 3 years, I'm sad to see this ministry end. It's made a HUGE impact on so many lives. I recall how the crowds would swell every meeting in summer, or whenever there was a series on dating. I watched 7 years of Louis, then he left and then going to the rotating guest speaker system and then finally settling with Jarrett after moving to Atlanta. I watched the crowds get younger then older again when in Buckhead.

even after I left ATL so forgive my tone as I'm a little upset. I'll be praying for we all know we all need Him.
