Nope, my camera also from ebay had no issues with it like that.
From my understanding they buy the Camera components by the Pound, Rejected parts from HI end phones, Laptops, Ipads.
- Also Mine broke after trying to update the firmware and remove the date code. I did everything proper but something was different in the camera and it Bricked, My recommendation, don't do the Firmware update. I read and read, and was certain it would take the firmware. 2nd Camera I got DOA.
