MARK MCGOWAN artist sets fire to himself

ARTIST TO SET FIRE TO HIMSELF 2007.

In an extra ordinary art performance anti war protestor and artist Mark McGowan IS TO SET FIRE TO HIMSELF in Parliment Square outside the Houses of Parliment on apprioately November 5th 2007 which is bonfire night or guy fawkes night in the uk, its at 6pm in a protest against the war in Iraq. The event is part of an exhibition curated by Andy Hunt at the Chelsea Space which is part of Chelsea College of Art and opens on Tuesday 6th November. McGowan says, its all a little bit dangerous and i am scared but i have been training with a stunt man for several weeks and everything should be ok. Andrew Hunt says, we have just commissioned the documentation of the event and have worries about the health and safety aspect of the performance but Mark assures us that everything will be ok.
