Good job on the tutorial. Eff the dumb.
Learning how to master a limited machine and letting the machine serve you to make music is straight up hip hop (remember what Prince Paul said about using machines not made for hip hop but making those things into hip hop).

roland have discontinued it, they just have some left at GC. i know a store in sydney that has mc-09's for sale at half price.

Hey man, thx for showing us that. Will you do a vid for 303 explaining the quantize function? Or what I really want to know is how someone can make bass lines on the 303. If you could show us how to make bass lines on the 303... You will achieve thunder god status.

hey dr jack . after you chop the sample break . say you wanna record your loop with the drum you sampled . how do you go about that and save your work ???? thanks
sounds tight, do youi have any pros or cons of the 303 vs. 404. heard alot people actually prefer the 303

@coughlintm The 303 has long load times for truncating and save, change sample pad location, pretty much every action takes a little bit of time. The 404 is almost instant, it is a lot faster, more pads, more memory, more banks, cards are a lot easier to find. If I could have only one it would be the 404. The 303 has a lower bit rate when sampling so it sounds a little warmer / dirtier. You can make the 404 sound dirty with different technics.

hey man, i have an sp-202 that i keep around for the 2 different lo-fi sampling rates you can record stuff in. does the sp-303 have this and do you know what bit it samples in? i can't find this info and i imagine SP samplers share this similar function, so maybe someone with a manual or other SP units knows this...
