Sorry, another question, from the point of view of an oil painter. About mixing paints, doesn't it get annoying having to remix the paints every time you come to work on the painting or do you have a method of keeping them wet? Thanks.

How do you make the colours appear to blend together like with oils? Do you just use gradiating tones?

@dragoneca2 Thank you! Underpainting - doesn't really matter too much but it's handy if the color is 'close', for a dark 'top' layer I'd use a dark underpainting - I like an umber tint. For a light toplayer something in gray values might work. Lightblue for something cool, I've heard green works well for skin? I also use an underpainting so that the paint will stick better (much better than on raw canvas) and I can check dimensions before the 'real' thing starts.

Hi, You have a wonderful technique. How do you determine what color to use as an underpainting? I am new to painting animals in acrylics, and would like to know. Your a great artist/painter.
