its all a cycle! new rules are on the way :) ...4 years after your original comment and pretty soon (couple of months) wushu will require traditional movements and mark down players who just run into stuff like gymnastics or repeat the same techniques over and over. the new rules will require actual Cha fist, Hua fist, shaolin, hong fist, and pao fist movements. no repeating, no posing extra long & run straight into boring nandu movement! Oh they r making new compulsory duan forms

We just need to have someone set a better example for the athletes. Cuz seriously anyone that matters is saying that wushu nowadays is a degradation: Wu Bin and Jet li, along with hundreds of other coaches. If there was a competitor out there who could pull off old school routines and win, then we might change it around, no???

From what I saw in Beijing a few weeks ago and with the current IWuF rules the way they are, I personally doubt it Josh.
We can only hope though.
