The revised Jaguar XFR really does have it all to lose - we gave the previous version our coveted five star rating - so the pressure is on. The new car gets a heady 500bhp supercharged V8, but will it achieve our coveted five star rating again? Jamie Corstorphine finds out...
@OneDirecton1 It looks cheap. Especially the material that's used to surround the air vents and nav screen.

@1Carbon it's really a good interior, so I don't know what your saying? It exceeds the standards for its class.

I can't comprehend how a car with an interior that looks that way could get 5/5 stars.

Having been taken for a drive in both this and the M5, there's no contest. This is much better. I prefer the styling on the M5 but otherwise the jaguar pisses all over it.

@blingjotil It was because of the gearbox not the fact it had a V10. I would give anything to have the V10 back rather than this shitty boring silent 4 cyl-sounding V8.

@CalvinS63 M5 better all round machine. are you serious. The last generation M5 could not even be driven at lower speeds in the city, the gear would give a thumping jerk every time you changed gear. I mean it was only good at very high speed, and because of that V10. And i have driven both.Thee XFR is very special, it is as good as the M5 in the bends and it is more enjoyable for everyday ride. And the XKRs was never meant to be a street racer, but a very fast sports car, and it is that.

There's no such thing as an XFR-S. And yes I have driven a XF-R. Like I said, it wasn't that special. I do prefer German cars because they're better made and better to drive. I prefer the M5 to the Jag because it is a better all round machine. And anyway so what I like German cars over the Brits. It's my opinion. XKR-S isn't that good because they seem to have had a 'that'll do' attitude when making it. It could have been faster, more powerful and lighter but they didn't make it that way...

@CalvinS63 Have you even driven the XFRS. You nuthead. You call yourself british, and you are just blindly prejudiced against Jaguar but rather also blindly support German cars. I have not driven the new M5 so i can't tell, but how did you come up with the conclusion " 'new' XKR-S and that isn't even that great". I am sure you did not drive one, because they don't let you test drive it.
