The traditional Hopi tale of coyote and prairie dog.
Made during Rez02 project at Moenkopi Youth Centre, Tuba City, Arizona. 2002.
One of the elements of the Rez02 project was to look at language ecology and the preservation of endangered languages such as the Hopi language.
The project used new technology and creative methods as a way to help preserve these languages.
@seantsosie They're both in the same language family which is Uto-Aztecan. :)

KaKwy! Chippewa from Mn. I used to live in Keams. My mom was a RN there and in T.C. I loved listening to Hopis talking in Hopi. My sister, Tanya White, has 5 kids w/ Arles Aragon from Hotevilla. I have very fond memories of living there. I loved watching Kachina dances in the plazas. Favorites: Home Dance in Walpi in '86, night dances @ Walpi in a kiva and Bean Dance in Hotevilla...Kachina smeared my face w/ soot & spit!
