"TOP SECRET DECLASSIFIED"
The former CIA Executive Assistant, Sam Halpern, said "I think the basic the whole idea was to keep Chinese occupied somehow, keep them annoyed, keep them disturbed. No body wanted to go to war over Tibet. That's pretty clear. We did go to war over Korea. We did go to war over Indochina. We won't go to war over Tibet. And so, it was nuisance operation, basically nothing more. And I'll think it's American point of view, it wouldn't cost very much, even money or manpower. Anyway it was not manpower, it was Tibetan manpower. We were willing to help Tibetans from becoming a running sore and a nuisance to the Chinese" (At time mark 05'28'')

WHERE HAVE TIBETANS GOTTEN THEIR WEAPONS?

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8442

quote:

"Large quantities of former Eastern bloc small arms and explosives have been reportedly smuggled into Tibet over the past 30 years, but these are likely to remain safely hidden until the right opportunity presents itself.

The weapons have been acquired on the world markets or from stocks captured by US or Israeli forces. They have been sanitized and are deniable, untraceable back to the CIA.

Weapons of this nature also have the advantage of being interchangeable with those used by the Chinese armed forces and of course use the same ammunition, easing the problem of resupply during any future conflict."

"The Chinese government would be on the receiving end of worldwide condemnation for its continuing repression and violation of human rights and it will be young Tibetans dying on the streets of Lhasa rather than yet more uniformed American kids."

  • @markwessex - quite possible. Internet is a powerful tool and authoritarian regimes cannot just leave it as it is. It is not a problem to find people who would write comments on certain topics in the way the higher authority wants. I've noticed that certain comments have suspiciously many positive votes. There were also documented cases of hacking sites.

  • You are delusional. Have you met and talked with these Tibetans or do you base your opinion on the government line?

  • it only gave chinese government a practice

  • @keeyk118b

China pacified armed Tibetan rebels. China considered Tibet a part of China because she was the succesor state to ROC and Qing dynasty on the mainland and all of China.

  • usa used tibet to keep china off balance and yet did not help tibet get a modern army. . china annexed tibet to ensure tibet could not be used against her again. tibet was thrown to the wolves.

  • I feel really bad for the tibetants being used by cia like plastic spoons during the cold war. it provided just enough weapons for their appetitie but dumped them like cow shit when they were not necessary.

  • Some American students asked me, Why doesn't your government give Tibet back to its monks?

I answered because the monks want to help the Seminoles take back Florida......simply enough

  • @wing0410 and you do mr. know it all? lololol
