Its great to see these being built in Ireland was afraid this was another industry we would miss out on and just import the machines
-
@oilpressing Have you tried raw soybeans yet? That is a tough seed to get more then 12% oil out of in one pass.
-
It would be hard customs, ect
I think this type of press would press all types of oil seeds
Look at
oilpress.com
Hope this helps

That is a high quality press you made there. I like the way you have the unit bolted together with those long bolts. I am looking around for oil presses in Canada but the price is getting pretty hefty for one of those European units here. From what I heard out there the hardest thing to design and manufacture is the screw. How much Kw is that unit and what kind of % oil extraction are you running - over 80%?

@kbaan Thank you for your positive comments,
Yes the unit is easier to take apart when kept together with long bolts, most other units are screwed together but can be hard to take apart as the threads get clogged with compressed cake.
I had to make a few attachments to a lathe to make the screw.
Can you see the PIR sensor, when it detects no cake out of the machine it turns off the press.
The Press is 2.2 kw.
The Press will extract well over 80% of the oil
