BIG STICK, CRACK ATTACK This is a U.K. only version of the duo's somewhat controversial underground industrial/dance hit. In this particular metamorphosis of the song (as there were quite a few), it receives some production treatment from producer Mark Brydon of the famed FON studios in Sheffield, England. BIG STICK'S CRACK ATTACK had an impact on the alternative/industrial and dance music community that nobody would have ever expected, especially John and Yanna! It's kinda whack, heck, it's a song 'bout crack!

Admittedly, this particular version of the song is a bit cleaned-up from its "original" release, although it still sends a message that portrays the dire consequences of using crack in a less than glamorous light.

  • I had never heard this version before, and I do actually like it...this mix, coupled with the video, puts one in the mind of Les Rita Mitsouko.

  • Geez, this "acid house' remix really suxx. Give me the original ANY DAY.

  • He sounds like Adam Sandler doing that weird voice.

  • as a british guy, i offer my heartfelt apologies to the world for british pop in the eighties...jesus we fucked this up. I hate, hate, hate that piano sound they use here.

  • wow this version isn't anything like the US version which is WAAAAY better. this is poppy and stupid and takes the edge off the the track

  • This was the British 12" version...not the raw (and superior) U.S. version from their EP.

  • great track

  • I can't say the N-word in the original offended me, it just puzzled me a lot.
