I don't know how they did it in this movie but I think I know how I could do it if I were making a movie. She would walk, or "fake walking", on a "moving platform". In this movie sometimes the platform was straight, once curved, once on a short stairway, and once hidden behind her nearly at ground level to avoid a shadow. Very creepy. Very simple. Fairly cheap. So far still very secret. It's hard to fall of a smoothly moving platform if your feet are stationary. It should work fine.
