I was there, it was one of the highlights of my light. I remember the crowd (me included) crying as we were heading away from the satge after Ozzy´s performance, I´ll never forget some hilarious moments, I remember Bad News, ons of them said "we´re bad news, and that´s the name of the band too!!".... great times.... to the younger guys, some advice from a middle aged rocker: live your life to the fulles, I did and I´m happy I did.

Remember this gig like it was yesterday. I remember the wave of emotion that engulfed the crowd. It literally had grown men crying. In my thirty plus years of going to gigs, it was the most moving moment I have experienced. To see the boys from Sheffield stick by their mate and for him to conquer his physical challenges, was just.......... well amazing. That must have been a massive challenge so nerve-jangling and to re-launch on UK soil with such a massive gig. The crowd were ecstatic.

Not dissing or anything just saying that's probably why it was so clear, not many drummers back then used triggers like today though I get what you're saying.

So what? Many musicians are guilty of the same...
This was the first Donington I'd been to. I still remember Ricky Allen's drum sound today - crystal clear and the best of the lot in my opinion!

This was a fantastic performance! I was there and it was the first time they had played such a large gig since rick allen lost his arm. They were on in the middle of the afternoon and everybody was right into it even people at the back! This was before there was loads of different tents playing different music. There was 6 bands on that that was it. Everyone went to watch the bands and there was no bloody mobile phones - happy days indeed when the music was undiluted. Superb!
