Good video. i´m new to logic and tried to record some audio. It work well, but i did´nt get the wave form like in your recording. All i got was a flat line. When i listen to the playback my recorded voice is there. Do you have any idea why i got a flat line after a finished recording?

Hey man, my track volume adjust my recording input volume. What's going on? I've watch a few of your tutorials, thanks man!

@TheRversed You know that it plays everything that comes in directly to the speakers? If that isn't the problem there might be cables that have a radial clearance (the cable is able to move around, usually it involves "scratchy" sounds). Also, you might have the microphone too close to the speaker.

@imamusicmogul whats good bro.. have you got a video up of how to record over a beat/instrumental?
I just purchased this online about 10 minutes ago, so I haven't started using it yet because it's still installing....but what tips would you give to beginners? I have a so-so mic right now, and an electronic keyboard. Any advice in the environment I'm recording in? My bedroom is fairly small, but I don't know if it's better to record in a walk-in-closet or what-not. Thanks! Great vid by the way!

@leaverlin Hey.... Do you mean MIDI keyboard?? You will most like want one of those... I'd say do a test with your mic... Sing into the mic when it is in your room, and then sing into your mic when it is in the walk-in closet to hear the difference... Your voice may sound a little thick/better in the closet just because there isn't to much reverb (your room will have more), but if you can't hear a difference then your room should be fine. Check out my playlist on Logic Pro Tutorials. Read on.

awesome videos, keep it up! Just wondering how i can use the standard crappy MacBook Pro mic for records, don't mind about the quality it's kind of what we're goin' for

@FortKnoxMusic All you have to do it is create a mono audio track and select Input 1 as the input... The laptops mic will default to input 1 and 2 if you don't have an interface plug-in. Just make sure the input of your mic is loud enough in the Apple settings... Let me know if you have any other questions.

@oymeit make sure you set you audio setting to Built-in Line Input and not the built-in Microphone..
