This is a quick run though how to play the solo from the 1970 rock classic Alright Now by Free. It's great practice for string bends!

  • Hi Mate,

    Thank you for the comment!

I have just upgraded my camera ;-)

  • like t say good teacher helping my son and me to learn this classic what is the original effect used for the sound

  • Hi, Glad it helped! I think the original was recorded just with a Les Paul straight into a Marshall head with a touch of reverb added post production. I was playing through a 5 watt Laney Lionheart combo with the drive set about 1/2 way up. James

  • Absolutely superb lesson James, I've wanted to play this for years but never had the cojones to try. Now "approximating "your style.

Any chance of a lesson of the electric version of Layla?

    Best teacher on the net.

  • HI Mate,

    Thank you for the comment!

I'll upload a Layla lesson as soon as I get a chance (A few people have ask for it!)
