Just imagine one and all: this was the World Wrestling Federation on Live, Nation-Wide, Network TV (NBC) for the entire country to see showcasing two of the biggest stars of all-time: Hulk and Andre. With all due respect to today's era, WWE will probably never, ever reach those heights again. WWE will may make more money now, but back then in the days of kayfabe, the WWF was magical, mystical, larger than life, if you will, and nothing at all can not re-create that.

regardless of if you think modern day wrestlers are lame or it is watered down pg-13 crap there is one difference for sure - the fans. just look at all these old videos, the fans are so into it, now you barely get a pop out of them, NOTHING like it was.

It's hilarious how Vince had to cajones to call it the largest television audience in WWF history even then they couldn't possibly have known that until after that night. Though his prediction was right, to this day they have yet to surpass the rating they got. Even in Steve Austin and the Rock's hay day, they never came close to touching the number of people watching this broadcast.
