Hello, thanks for your video. Im doing baby led feeding with my daughter who is 6 months old, but I gave up breastfeeding a month ago. I would love to hear more from mums who have used this but no longer BFing - its hard to find info on it because the original study by Gill Rapley was done on BFing babies. From what i can tell there shouldnt be much difference, but we will see i guess!

Hi, thanks. My daughter turned 6 months this week, as the doc said I gave her mashed fruit but she cried and did not eat. I watched the videos today and gave her a piece of pear, banana and peach. She played and ate a little bit, she didn´t cry at all. I´m just a bit concern of the choking hazard. What your opinion is?. Thanks

thanks for this video! my son will be 6 months at the end of July, and I am reading up now so I know what to do....this was super helpful!

how do you get on when your'e out and about? eg older kids playgroup or coffee group etc

I'm excited about trying this with my LO due in July. I started my son on purees when he was 8 months, and even then I let him play with them on the tray of his highchair. he was my first, and I didn't know about baby led solids/weaning until just recently. Of course we will be waiting until roughly 6-9 months again before starting solids and breastfeeding until my LO wants to stop (my first nursed until he was almost 2 before he got too busy with other things)

So do you cook fruits at all to soften it or just cut it up?

Nice, simple and clear video. I like your explanation of gagging, and the idea of calling it baby led solids as opposed to baby led weaning. Cute baby too!

How old is your baby? I want to start BLW in a couple weeks and my son will be 6 months. Will they eat the rind or is it okay to leave on? She's so cute!
@Schmoonzx: It's no problem at all! I pack a lunch for my LO for the church nursery every week. She eats her food at the beginning of playtime!

@Freya
It depends on the fruits. Peaches, plums, pears, etc I serve raw/uncooked. They are soft enough. I steamed apples in the beginning so they were softer. Hope that helps!
