If you're in the clinical years of medical school doing rotations or if you are in your internship or residency, you should pay close attention to who reads your notes. Your progress notes, H&Ps, procedure notes, discharge summaries, etc are all important to your attendings, your patients, lawyers, the coding department, utilization review, insurance companies & more. Your documentation can impact your career in ways you have yet to imagine.
