The Bush Torture Squads used torture for the same reaons the Inquisition did - to obtain false confessions and create an alternate reality that didn't exist. Torture was tested at Guantanamo to see our reaction in preparation for implementing dictatorship here in the US, and setting up the real New American Century.

  • American soldiers were the victims of massive disorganization, the torture philosophy, and the contract interrogators who got paid big bucks and enjoyed total immunity from prosecution. I never said Guantanamo was the only place torture was practiced, or that some people hadn't been punished. But it came from above, not from the bottom. Those who were punished deserved, but many who weren't, deserved it more.

  • Also, when are we going to investigate Eric Holder for burning AMERICAN CITIZENS alive at Waco...I guess that's ok, because they were just a bunch of God and Gun Clingers

  • I think Waco was one of the most horrific crimes against Americans ever committed. The FBI and ATF are animals who burned children for a sick kick.

  • Yeah, I can see the big Bush meeting wher he goes "Hey boys, if anyone asks any question we'll just defend ourselves the same way those Nazi boys did at Nuremberg...worked out pretty good for them"

You are a DUMBASS...Come clean, you've hated Bush since 2000 when he was "selected not elected" that's what this is all about . Clearly you are the smartest Son of a Bitch onYoutube so explain to me how Bush will be prosecuted...not US citizens and have no standing under the Geneva Convention, OOPSY!

  • Since even Obama is saying the memos should provide cover for the line torturers, it seems to be working pretty well. No, I don't think Bush will be prosecuted. See my commentary on that topic elsewhere.

  • That is such a nice response! I do not mind being the beneficiary of prayers, and I don't have any hatred for the teacher of the Gospels -- my favorite prayer of all time is straight out of the Sermon on the Mount -- "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." I took that to heart when I was beginning to feel very put upon (perhaps due to being a lawyer in a litigious world), and decided to try to show a little mercy. Lo and behold -- I've felt some coming back my way!

  • One final thing. You have 3 photos there. One is not US soldiers. Two is an Abu Grhaib photo, which those people have been prosecuted and the third photo is not from a detention center and is obviously in a forward area where the detainee had been VERY recently detained and WTF do you want these guys to do, they can't carry a La-Z-Boy and a gallon of lemonade (ice cold of course) aroundon their back for any potential detainees.
