  • Thanks aurora1957A, I just seen an advertisement as well for Recoil and it says there is live video footage of QMS performing 'Who Do You Love', thats amazing, I have been collecting as many live bootlegs of QMS as I possibly can, and this is the first time i have ever even heard that there is live video footage of QMS doing this.... what a treat, I cannot wait to see it...... thanks again.................. Andy

    You're welcome!

    "Recoil" is a must have!

And joining Greg Elmore and the band on the extended psych "Who Do You Love" video is Mickey Hart for some extremely tasty double drumming!!

    :)

  • Awesome...... and, hey there was another version of this song here 2 days ago and it's gone ? it had the same video as this one, only it was psychedelically blurred, whoever posted it can you please re post it..... it was a studio version as well, and the awesome lovely brilliant J.C. was using lots of extra effects... it was really special...

  • @aofusa1

It's still up.. I posted it a few years ago... a search of QMS might get you to it, or you might want to check out my homepage, or youtube.com/watch?v=UT2VQeKZyHU

Please tell me if you can't view it...! that would suck...!

    Thanks!

    :)

  • I knew Dino in North Beach S.F in 63, and remember him singing in the first Upper Grant Ave, St. Fair, where I sold paintings etc. He was singing and playing a 12 string guitar, and was one of the best I'd ever seen. He wrote a song that may have never been recorded that was super, went something like "turn around go back down go back the way you came' and so on a most powerful song, that's a long time ago, but the memory is still fresh of this great musician, 16 yr. old country Joe there too.

  • @earlybirddan

"Pride of Man" is the tune your thinking of, but it was written by Hamilton Camp, recorded and often covered (in fact I've got a live cover in my uploads with John Cippolina on guitar). Also Pride of Man led off as the first track on the first QMS lp.

I've heard David Freiberg sing it live when touring with Paul Kantner's reformed Jefferson Starship. Great song.

Very cool you were there at the beginning. I was like 5 years old at the time!

    :)

  • When you see DIno fronting the band in "Go Ride the Music" DVD, you see what a good front man he was; QMS with and without Dino were both great -

  • Great song from my misspent youth along with outstanding psychedelic filmography!

    Happy Trails!

  • Anyone know the history of this video? Who was it made for, and when? Absolutely great song, rarely played anymore, yet still sounds wonderful. Thanks for posting it.

  • Hell yeah, those shacks are still there! I know the trotskyites have been trying to get them torn down for years now because they can't tax them.
