A Saluki Dog Puppet Opposes AB1634 in California. An adorable way to state an opinion. Senators, PETA, and The Dog Whisperer should watch.

  • Thank you to all that have watched and commented on this video. We appreciate your interest and encouragement. Hopefully enough of you have sent this to the California Senators so they are flooded with emails. Hopefully they will view it and be inspired by the message. High regards to all, Robin and Patrick Garcia.

  • Great video! I too hope our government officials will take heed and NOT pass this ridiculous law which takes away more of our rights, and harms animals. So-called "humane" groups who support this badly written and badly worded law are just wrong. Please support reputable pet guardians and breeders by urging your government represetatives to vote NO on AB 1634.

  • Great job!!! Hope the state senators will watch and LEARN something! No on AB1634!!!

  • salukis breed is so old they r mentioned in the bible

  • Well, you can claim anything, but can you offer ANYTHING other than assertion? Any facts? Any claims even? Your post is hollow and empty - and false to boot.

  • Sure, absolutely, defend your rights BUT carry out your responsibilities too. If you think you are then how do you explain the 450,000 animals put down in 2005 in CA alone?

  • In case anyone is interested, none of that about sterilization is true. Can't you people win an argument without lying?

  • huh? The good guy? In what sense? In the sense that the guy who breeds pets some of whom go to homes that could have provided homes for strays who are then killed, or in the sense of the guy who can't find homes for all of the litter or doesn't really track the fate of the whole litter. Everyone thinks it's not them, but I've emptied enough barrels of deads to know how may pure breeds were in there.

  • Just in case there are actually any sincere anti-AB1634 folks here let me tell you that you are being duped. There are NO good enough reasons to oppose they spay/neuter bills because NOTHING else will work. The people who oppose are all in a position to either make money or practice a hobby they love at the expense of innocent strays. Bottom line: For every pet you breed or buy, one will die in a shelter.

  • Another serious concern with this forced neutering is the well-being of the animals!

Spaying can prevent mammary tumours and pyometra in predisposed breeds, but it can also cause urinary incontinence, hypothyroidism and aggression. Besides, a bitch in heat must be kept on a leash at all times and under supervision, anyone who doesn't know that shouldn't have a dog in the first place. This spay-and-neuter hysteria is no replacement for owner responsibility.

  • It's government doing what it does best--perceiving a problem, shrieking "DO SOMETHING!!!" and then applying ham-fisted solutions. California euthanizes thousands of dogs and kittens every year. Their solution is to spay and neuter every animal in sight. Dumb.

  • lol, is this some kind of "family values" thing again? That dogs shouldn't mate? Where would the puppies come from?

  • I like that puppet :)
