Hi!!
We'd like to introduce to you our new instruments : the ukulele and the tambourine, we're both learning how to play. As Nathalie is a very beginner, don't be too hard!! :) We did this video as a gift for our mother as it is Mother's Day here in France. It is a traditionnal celtic song. Don't worry if you don't understand the lyrics, even French people have a hard time understanding them because it's in old French !! The story is about a man who write a letter to his mother as he is at war.
Hope you enjoy!!

  • @SistersGoldenHair You're welcome. I hope you do more of these kinds of songs also. It's nice to hear some folk music at times.

  • @zardozfrance - Your English is fine. I'm glad you explained the meaning of the song.

  • @SQDLVR

Not easy to explain with my bad English, but the song is not really in good French and difficult to understand even for a French ( that's why the girls have to read the lyrics ) The song is suposed to be sing by a soldier from Britany ( west part of France ) where the language was a kind of Gaelic or Celtic language and he try to speak French to explain to his mother the fight, the battles for king Louis ( may be Louis xIv ?? ) but obviously his French is full of mistakes.

  • Very nice harmonies

  • IT may be a nice song if only I understood French.......
