@racheleleeba Thanks so much- I'm so glad to find another Schubert lover here in Atlanta. You have a very interesting channel. I attend around 7 events a year at Spivey Hall, my next ione will be Europe Galante this Saturday 2/4 and of course the Met auditions the next afternoon. If you ever see an aging bald headed man with a bushy mustache, please make yourself known. I would love to meet you- Grazie assai- Ernesto Vasselli
When I was a boy, long ago in England, I listened (on my crystal radio, with old army-surplus headphones) to a nightly program (at 11 pm) called "A book at Bedtime". It featured superb readings from classic novels. They would play a short piece of music to introduce the reading. The introduction to the readings from "Silas Marner", by George Eliot, was this Fantasia! I have never forgotten it; Imogen Cooper and Paul Lewis give a perfect performance.
@OrangeSodaKing Good that you are remembering Radu Lupu! Bought a cheap audio cassette more than a decade ago with his music! Enjoyed! This music video with more than 20 minutes i can't get into my PC cache now. Maybe later.
I love Schubert. I've seen Ms. Cooper a couple of times here in Atlanta at Spivey Hall. One was all Schubert. In the hands of an interpreter like her, one feels one's heart in one's throat. She brings a gift to her playing that transports one to Schubert's time. It lingers long after one is alone, like something whispering to something fine and beautiful within. I'm not sure how to express how deeply moving she is. Paul Lewis plays Schubert here Sunday Oct 9th. I'm looking forward to it. Ernesto
@rlfmoba I uploaded Radu Lupu playing the Schumann Piano Concerto onto my channel. He's such a fantastic pianist. :)

Wer ist der wunderbar bescheidene sich links fast unsichtbar haltende Umblättler? Perfekt aufgenommen!

I think this is better than the legendary Murray Perahia and Radu Lupu recording.
