Alfons Mucha (24 July 1860 14 July 1939) was a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist. He produced a flurry of paintings, posters, advertisements, and book illustrations, as well as designs for jewellery, carpets, wallpaper, and theatre sets in what was initially called the Mucha Style but became known as Art Nouveau.
Alfons Mucha (24 juillet 1860 14 juillet 1939), peintre tchèque, est connu pour avoir produit une série de peintures, posters et affiches publicitaires appartenant au style Art nouveau.

@peaceinpeaceout1 Thanks! As for the spelling, both Alphonse and Alfons are correct -- it's the Czech spelling.
