You dont join the royal marines for the pay. you join for the honour, the brotherhood, the pride, the experience. the overall self belief and personal accomplishment. You serve your country with ultimate patriotism through any shite mother nature may throw at you. And besides you could walk into the street and get run down by a car. death is certain one day why not experience life while your here. My motto is. Im here for a good time not a long time. Keep going Commandos, Your Incredible.

i dont think thats why they join. its about the man next to you, the brotherhood, the pay is fucked up, so is the kit but marines make do thats why there the best.

yeah everyones so pumped up when they join... Then after almost 6 years your just as happy trying to get out... Then they "loose" your paper work a couple of times and wow... So cool! I love the Army... Stay home kid... do security...
