Chrono Cross - Dark Serge

My PS2 is up and running again. All I had todo was buy the silver PS2 slim. Simple.

So in celebration, I'm recorded a boss fight from Chrono Cross.

Lynx (really Serge), Viper and Steena vs Dark Serge (really Lynx).

Standard fight: attack and use their techs.
All of Lynx's special techs can be used by Dark Serge, including Forever Zero. Amusingly, this is the last time you see Forever Zero used in the game (and this is the last battle you fight as Lynx).

Steena has the black plate equipped, otherwise Dark Serge's techs can kill her easily (she's inate white).

By the way, once this fight occurs, and moreso after the FATE battle, all coherent storytelling in this game goes straight to hell. You will be going 'HUH?' about every five minutes near the end, especially when they do a huge plot dump right before the final boss.

And if that's not confusing enough, the people who reveal the final plot are Marle, Crono and Lucca from Chrono Trigger, who are in kid form and are technically suppose to be dead (well, at least Lucca). Basically 85% of the game's plot is discussed in the last 10 minutes of the game, while the other 15% needed to be explained during the 50+ hours you played this game. Chrono Trigger made more sense, and that involved multiple time periods.

Chrono Cross is about two timelines that split at a certain point: same time in each, but different events. And while you're Lynx, you're really Serge and while you're fighting Serge, he's really Lynx, who is really your father. Did I ruin the game yet?

What the hell was I saying? Oh, I got a new PS2. Well, enjoy.

Yep. I should have done the next combo first, but I thought that would have killed him. Glidehook kill would have been so much more epic.

Damn, I loved that UltraNova so much when I played this game... One of the cooler element attacks if you ask me.

And I didn't know that Lynx was really... well, you know... SPOILER.

I actually never finished the game, damn! I gotta finish it now!
