lol honestly, i think any viewable Frames-per-second in a game is more psychologically damaging than anything else. Played BFBC2 a lot. One day I got a look at my fps and instantly felt crippled. I've always played the game perfectly fine. The evidently low fps never really showed in terms of choppiness or lag or anything, but knowing what FPS you're getting kinda makes people worry more than they should.
Meh, 30 frames is more than enough. Only competitive gaming needs more. For him to say anything less than 60 fps is a broken game is mindboggling and to be honest, quite elitist(look at me, I got great gear hurr durr). 24 fps is a bit low yes, but it's still playable. Hell, often in mmo's, my fps crap down to shit very fast in crowded areas and I still play them. Raiding on WoW, as an example, often had some serious fps issues, especially with a few addons, and they still got run regularly.
I thought TB would have a computer faaaaaaaaar better than mine. I'm glad to hear were near next to each other. i7 2600k, SLI'd 580s and 16 gigs RAM here. I have to agree. FPS and FOV need a standard on PC. I'm sick of going into the console and having to change this shit.
@GamesByCore 24 well if you think about it in certain older games doesnt matter that much(i am thinking platformers or slower paced games). on new games with awesome visuals yeah....you NEED 40-60+
