The solar proton events in the Catalogue of LDE flares are an order of magnitude greater. You still seem confused as to the coordinate system used in the catalogue also. Your defense of these solar proton events not hitting the earth was the coordinate system used in the catalog. I believe NASA uses Carrington. You say Stonyhurst. Your wrong.

@MadHighway Doodlyo thinks that a 'Sudden Ionospheric Disturbance' means protons from a solar flare hit the Earth. I've told him as many others have that SID is caused from soft X-rays traveling the speed of light that hit the Earth's ionosphere and cause radio wave disturbances within 8 minutes of the propagation.
